In neighborhoods like Twin Creeks, where many back yards face a greenbelt, the yard is often the nicest room on the property. A built-in kitchen with a grill, prep counter and fridge lets the cook face that view and the guests instead of standing at the stove indoors.
Most of the work on an Allen kitchen happens before any stone is set. We stake the drainage strip along the lot lines first, since the island has to stay out of it, then turn the island toward the view. Trenching comes next, and the gas line stays open until it passes inspection. Allen’s clay drains slowly, so the island footing and the patio around it get planned together, not one after the other.

Grill and counter turned so the cook faces the greenbelt.
Raised counter with stools on the guest side of the island.
Covered outdoor outlets for small appliances and task lighting at the counter.
A gas fire feature beside the seating, laid out alongside the kitchen.
An outdoor kitchen is easier to get right when you can see it in place. If it helps you decide, we can put together a 3D rendering of the layout, counters and finishes next to your patio.
Just ask for one when we come out to your Allen home to measure.

Watters Crossing has an active HOA, and Twin Creeks, Starcreek and Montgomery Farm Estates all follow set design standards, so an outdoor kitchen typically goes to the association for review before work starts. Allen’s own guideline also tells owners to check with their HOA before applying for a city permit. Estrada matches the stone and counter finishes to the house and prepares the plans for the HOA submission.

Allen lists outdoor kitchens as a permit type of their own, and the trade work for gas, power and plumbing is filed separately. Estrada submits it all through the city portal and preps for each inspection.
Allen treats them as separate permit types, so plan on two filings if you want both. Deciding on the fire feature before the kitchen is drawn lets us place both on one site layout and trench the gas for each at once. We confirm the current submittal with the city.
You can, but it means opening a new trench through a finished yard and another inspection. If a gas grill is likely, we lay the line during the first dig and cap it. Have the grill picked by then if you can, so the line is planned for it.
Mostly it changes direction. We turn the grill and bar so the cook and guests face the open view, and keep the taller parts of the island off the view side. Your HOA may have its own standards on what shows from the greenbelt, so we check those before drawing.
We talk through how you cook and entertain, then give you a straight price to build it.
