What you are looking at

Every photo on this page is a fence or a backyard our own crews built, in Dallas or Collin County. None of it is stock photography, and none of it is another company's work. If you see something here you want, we can tell you exactly where it is and what it cost to build.

Cedar privacy fences

The bulk of what we build. Board-on-board and side-by-side runs in western red cedar, most of them replacing a fence that leaned long before its pickets wore out. Cap and trim is what separates the ones that still look deliberate in year eight. More on cedar privacy fences and wood fencing.

Gates and ironwork

Driveway gates, walk gates and ornamental iron. A gate is the part of a fence that moves, so it is the part that shows bad post work first. The gates in these photos are hung on posts set to the weight of the leaf rather than to a standard depth. See driveway gates and ornamental iron.

Outdoor living

Pergolas, patio covers, outdoor kitchens, fire features and the concrete underneath them. Where a yard was built as one project rather than in pieces, you can see it: levels line up, materials match, and water goes where it was told to. More on outdoor living and custom decks.

What the photos do not show

The part that decides whether a fence lasts is underground and finished before anyone would think to photograph it: how deep the posts went, how wide the holes were, and what went in around them. Dallas black gumbo clay swells and shrinks through the year and it will find a shallow post. That is the work we would rather be judged on, and it is covered on fence installation.

Want to see one in person?

Photographs flatten everything. A fence that reads well on a screen can still be a quarter inch out of line along the top, and you will only see it standing at one end looking down the run. We are happy to point you at finished work near you so you can look down the line yourself before you decide anything.
