Hog Panel Fencing in Dallas, TX

Galvanized panel set in a cedar or steel frame. Open enough to keep the view, tight enough to hold a dog, and far more durable than the look suggests.

Why Estrada

The modern open fence that actually holds up

Hog panel has moved from pasture to patio, and most of what fails is the framing, not the panel. A galvanized panel will outlast the house. The cedar frame around it will not, if the posts are shallow or the panel is left to flex.

We build the frame like a fence and treat the panel as infill: deep-set posts, a rigid top and bottom rail, and the panel fastened at intervals so it cannot oil-can in the wind.

  • Galvanized cattle or hog panel, 16ft stock cut to fit
  • Cedar or powder-coated steel framing
  • Posts set deeper than code minimum in real concrete
  • Panel fastened at intervals so it stays flat
  • Optional horizontal cedar cap for a finished top

Built for Dallas

Hog Panel Fencing for Dallas yards

Hog panel took off in Dallas on the back of the modern-farmhouse builds around Oak Cliff, Bishop Arts and the East Dallas infills, where owners want light and sightline without a chain link look. It suits those lots: narrow side yards where a solid fence would make a corridor feel like a tunnel. It is also the fence we most often get called to fix, almost always because someone framed it with 4x4s on 8ft centres and the panel now bows. We shorten the spans and stiffen the frame instead.
