Planning the cover with the rest of the yard leaves room for later projects like a shed, since every accessory structure counts toward one limit. Serving Celina and all of Collin County.

Most new Celina homes sit in master-planned communities like Light Farms and Mustang Lakes, and many back yards still have the builder’s open slab. Adding a cover while the neighborhood is young is the most common way owners make that patio usable through a North Texas summer.
Because a patio cover shares Celina’s accessory allowance with sheds and pergolas, we plan it as part of the whole yard. We measure what already stands on the lot, ask what you might add later, and size the cover so it leaves room for that. In Light Farms or Mustang Lakes we send the association matched elevations first and file with the city after the board signs off.

Extends the house roof over the builder’s open slab out back.
A small standalone cover that uses little of the accessory allowance.
A peaked roof over the patio for extra headroom and a lighter look.
Ceiling fans, lights and outlets wired in while the ceiling is still open.
Not sure how a cover will look on your house? If it helps you decide, we can put together a 3D rendering first, so you can check the roofline, posts and finishes and change them before anything is built.
Just ask for one when we come out to your Celina home to measure.

Light Farms, Mustang Lakes, Cambridge Crossing and Creeks of Legacy are master-planned communities whose associations typically review exterior additions like patio covers, and Celina’s own submittal list asks for an HOA letter. Estrada matches the roof pitch, the shingle or metal finish and the trim color to the house and prepares the plans for the HOA submission, so the letter is in hand when we apply.

Attached covers always do. A small detached cover can fall under the permit line, though adding fans or lights brings a permit back. Estrada sorts out which case applies to your plan and files the paperwork.
It adds a step. Wiring has its own permit and plans, so deciding on fans and lights early keeps everything in one submittal. Adding them after the cover is finished means opening the ceiling and going back to the city for a second permit.
Usually, but the shed counts against the same allowance. We measure it along with anything else on the lot, then show you how big the cover can be. Moving or removing an old shed can sometimes free up room for a larger cover.
Planning it now usually works better, since landscaping, a pool or a shed all compete for the same space and allowance. If you pick the cover’s spot first, landscaping and later projects can be planned around it instead of squeezing it in later.
We walk your Celina yard, give you a straight price, and show you how the cover is built and tied in.
